How to check if your website is SEO friendly: a 10-point check
An SEO-friendly site lets search engines find, crawl, index and understand every important page. Here's a 10-point check you can run today, and what tools can't judge.
Why you can trust the results
We only report what our checks actually find.
Real checks, not guesses
Every finding comes from a check that ran against your page: the HTML we downloaded, the headers your server sent, or the page loaded in a browser.
Real browser screenshots
The mobile check opens your page in a real Chromium browser at phone, tablet and desktop sizes and shows you what it saw.
Open methodology
We publish what each check looks at and how scores are worked out, so you can judge the results for yourself.
Read the methodologyAI explains, it doesn't invent
When AI is used, it only turns real findings into plain-language next steps. It doesn't add problems the checks didn't find.
Automated checks can't see everything. They're a strong starting point, not a replacement for a person reviewing your site.
Want someone to do it for you?
If you'd rather not make the fixes yourself, we also offer audits and fixes done by people. It's entirely optional — the free tools stay free.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. You can check a single page for free without an account. Free checks are limited to a few per hour so the service stays available for everyone. A free account adds multi-page scans (up to 10 pages, on up to 2 websites), your recent checks in one dashboard, and PDF reports. Paid plans raise those limits.
Do I need an account?
No, not for a basic check. Enter your website address and you'll get a report for that page. Create a free account if you want to scan several pages of a site, keep your checks in one place and download reports.
What does the audit check?
Seven areas: SEO, speed, mobile experience, accessibility, website security, links and page errors, and server availability. Each problem comes with a plain-language explanation and a suggested next step. The methodology page lists the individual checks.
How accurate are the results?
The checks test real, observable things: what your page's HTML contains, what your server sends and how the page behaves in a real browser. They're reliable for what they cover, but they can't judge everything a person would, and they're not a replacement for a human audit. Some results, speed especially, vary a little between runs because networks and servers vary.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. Each problem is explained in everyday language with a suggested fix. The technical detail is still there if you want to pass it to a developer.
Can I use it for any website?
Any public website you're allowed to test. We can't check private or internal addresses (such as localhost or a company network), pages behind a login, or sites that block automated visitors.
Do you store my website data?
Only briefly. Check results, including screenshots, are deleted automatically about 24 hours after the check. If you have an account, we keep your account details (such as your name and email address) until you ask us to delete them.
